Allison Marie Rhen
Ms. Allison Marie Rhen has over 15 years of program management, lifecycle logistics, and marketing experience supporting the national defense sector. She currently serves as the Manager of the Mission Support Division (MSD) at Torch Technologies, Inc. where her strategic focus is providing Sustainment Engineering and Lifecycle Logistics services to DoD Customers. MSD is part of Torch’s Advanced Concept Engineering (ACE) – Combat Systems Business Unit (CSBU) where Allison leads three (3) Directorates (Logistics Management; Test and Diagnostics; and Environmental Engineering). Within MSD, she is responsible for 40+ Torch Employee Owners (EOs) and six subcontracting teams with an average workforce of 10-15 staff members totaling over 100 individuals under her leadership.
Before joining Torch, she was the Executive Vice President of Operations for McConnell Jones Lanier & Murphy LLP (MJLM) where she was responsible for managing the daily operations, personnel, and strategic objectives for MJLM’s Huntsville, Alabama, office location. Prior to working in industry, Rhen was a Department of the Army (DA) Civilian and member of the US Army Materiel Command (AMC) Fellows Program. As an AMC Fellow, she graduated from the US Army Materiel Command Logistics Leadership Center (ALLC) located in Texarkana,
Texas at Red River Army Depot (RRAD) where she earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Texas A&M University. Before joining the workforce, she obtained her Bachelor of Science (BS) from Alabama A&M University (AAMU) where she double majored in Marketing and Business Management.
Outside of work, Allison spends her time serving the defense and technical community by volunteering on several non-profit Boards and Committees for local and national organizations. In 2022, she was honored to join Still Serving Veterans (SSV) as a Board Member. She has also supported the Huntsville Association of Small Businesses in Advanced Technology (HASBAT) since 2014 and was elected President of the organization in 2016 where she continues to serve as President to this day. She recently concluded her presidential term with Women In Defense – Tennessee Valley Chapter (WID-TVC) and currently serves as a member on the WID National Council while supporting the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) as the Vice-Chair of the NDIA Member Leadership Council (NMLC). Moreover, Ms. Rhen is the current President of the Huntsville Association of Technical Societies (HATS) and a longtime supporter and volunteer of the Huntsville/Madison
County Chamber of Commerce (CoC) as well as Marketplace Leadership Luncheon (MLL), a faith-based organization. However, her volunteerism does not stop there! Internally to Torch, Allison donates her green time supporting various Torch committees and programs such as Torch in Action, Torch STEPs, Torch’s Mentor/Mentee Program, and Torch Helps. As of October 2023, she was nominated to serve a 2-year term as the Vice-Chair on the Torch Helps Committee and will transition to Committee President after her 2-year term.
Ms. Rhen is a proud member of First Missionary Baptist Church (FMBC) and dedicates her free time to her two daughters, one attending AAMU (her alma mater) and the other at University of North Alabama (UNA),
respectively Kaelin (23) and Kelsey (19), as well as her granddaughter, Kamora (21 months). She enjoys watching movies, online shopping, billiards, cooking, and traveling when she has time to get away!
