Markeisha Layne

I have been in banking for the 17 years. I’ve held many titles over the years including Branch Manager, Mortgage Loan Officer, Financial Wellness District Manager and Business Development Officer. Currently I work for Synovus Bank as a Commercial Banker, but I previously worked for Bank Independent, BB&T (now Truist) and Wells Fargo. My banking career has afforded me the opportunity to not only build relationships in our community and help others achieve their financial dreams but to also build financial literacy courses that I facilitate to different organizations in the community as a way of giving back. I’ve also volunteered my time to several organizations including the Food Bank, Village of Promise, and One Table. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Alabama and my MBA from Alabama A&M University. I’m a native of Birmingham, AL but have called Huntsville (and now Madison) home for the past 15 years. I am married to Jeff and we share a 5 year old son, Jeffery who is the greatest blessing we’ve ever received.
